TESTIMONIALS
Laura has helped me and many other international students to feel comfortable in their new homeland and make them feel at home away from home. I could not have asked for a warmer welcome to the US.
Laura is an excellent mentor in many ways. She helped me and others in my class with resume enhancement skills, LinkedIn presentation, networking with recruiters, interview preparation, and much more. She is very active in promoting our program, students, and the university among recruiters. She is not only an outstanding networker, but also an exceptional motivator for others to network. I have learned a lot about this from Laura and gained so much confidence in public speaking because of her.
As an international student I strongly recommend Laura for consultations related to job search and negotiation of job offers. I was looking for recommendations about how to negotiate an offer I received from a company. Laura helped me through this process. She guided me on how to negotiate, step-by step, the offer with my future employer. Laura was very patient and understanding in listening to my uncertainties, and she addressed all of them with a lot of care and detail. In addition, Laura also highlighted some other parts of the offer that I should have discussed and I am really thankful for that.
I felt I could trust her since the first phone call, and this is very refreshing for a student that does not have work experience. I recommend Laura to all students, or more in general, people that need consultations about various aspects of the job search.
I met Laura as a master’s student at Clemson. I had the continuing pleasure of being mentored by her in my job search, the leads and connections she suggested I reach out to are simply phenomenal. Following her advice and input in both my professional and personal life is shaping me to be a better individual.
Laura has also helped me fine-tune my resume and has guided me as I go about building and developing a network. She has actively worked with me on shaping my LinkedIn profile and helping express my accomplishments. She is a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual and it was my pleasure that I had the opportunity to meet and work with her.
